She Blooms in Every Season

My artwork is a pencil portrait of my mother I chose to draw her because she is the person whose strength, love, and resilience have shaped who I am. I used graphite to capture her facial features in a soft, realistic style, representing her calm and steady presence in my life. Behind her, I added brightly coloured flowers to symbolise her personality vibrant, warm, and full of life. Each flower represents a different aspect of her character: her kindness, her joy, her patience, and her ability to help others grow. The contrast between the black and white portrait and the colourful background also reflects how she brings colour and light into every space she enters. This artwork is my way of honouring her and showing that, to me, my mother is not just a parent, but my hero.
