Sarah Michelle Gellar- My hero is Sarah Michelle Gellar. She was born on April 14, 1977 in New York City, N.Y. Her Mother is Rosellen Gellar and her Father divorced in 1984. For grade school, she went to the Professional Children's School and for high school she went to LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, both in N.Y. City. She was an only child who was raised in New York's Upper East Side. She was only raised by her Mother for, her father divorced in 1984.
She began her acting career at the age of three, when an agent spotted her while she was at a restaurant. In a few weeks she began playing Valerie Harper's daughter in 1983 TV movie An Invasion of Privacy. Then she started to appear in commercials such as the McDonalds commercial. Then she started to get larger roles in shows such as Over the Brooklyn Bridge (1984), Funny Farm (1988), and High Stakes (1989).
At the age of fourteen, Sarah won her first standout role, a portrayal of Jacqueline Bouvier in the 1991 A Woman Named Jackie. The next year, she got a lead role in the series Swan's Crossing and Jake's Woman. In 1993, Sarah received her first adult role, as Erica Kane's long-lost, bad-seed daughter Kendall Hart in All My Children. In 1994, she received an Emmy for Outstanding Young Actress.
In 1996, she began playing Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After she began playing Buffy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer was ranked number 1 in the WB shows. A year later she starred in two movies such as I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream. In 1999, she starred in the TV romantic comedy, Simply Irresistible and Cruel Intentions. As you know, Sarah is getting married to her fiancé, Freddie Prinze Jr.
The reason Sarah Michelle Gellar is my hero is because she is a very kind person and her personality is like mine. I watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer sometimes and like her show. I do enjoy acting, but want to become a singer. I will act in plays and dance, probably like she did. I want to have a similar career like her.
