The Tallest Man
by Stanley Bemba of Uganda
Collage and Assemblage
This semi-abstract work of art is an objective study of a giraffe, the tallest of all animals in the wild. Giraffes live in dry savannah areas that are characterized by tall grass plus little scattered vegetation. The point of inspiration for making this artwork is the beauty of the giraffes, their tender cat walk similar to that of fashion models and beauty pageants. They are taller than the savannah grassland and that is why they are above the grass below them.
