Terry Fox was known as a determined boy growing up. First of all, he ran from St. John’s, Newfoundland, to the west coast of Vancouver Island. Secondly, he raised as much money for cancer research as he could through his running. At the end, he raised millions for cancer research. Thirdly, he was determined to run more than 3,000 miles, and he did.

Terry Fox was generous. First of all, he raised millions for cancer research. Secondly, he also gave up months of his time to raise money for cancer. Thirdly, he knew that if even if he only had one leg, he could still make a difference.

Terry Fox was a smart individual. First of all, he wanted to become a PE teacher. Secondly, he finished high school with honors and applied to Vancouver’s Simon Fraser University. Thirdly, he knew in the future that this disease called cancer would kill a lot of people, so he tried to do something about it.

Terry Fox is a great example of a hero. Terry Fox was known as a determined boy growing up. Secondly, Terry Fox was generous. Thirdly, Terry Fox was a smart individual. Terry Fox died with his family beside him in June 1981 at age 22, but his legacy lives on.
