Tim Merchant

My hero is my father, Tim Merchant. He is important because he is a fireman and firemen save lives. It is a dangerous job, but he still does it. He is hard working as a fireman and as a dad.

My dad cares about everybody. His first job was being a Laguna Beach lifeguard; he rescued people. He even saved me when I was four by jumping into the Jacuzzi when I was drowning.

His job is very dangerous because he could get badly hurt. He is courageous because he does it anyway in order to help people.

My dad works hard at his job and at home. After work he comes home. He is tired, but he still has to work at building our home. I like it when he works for us to make a better place for the family.

I look up to my dad. I think he is the best dad in the world because he does so much to help people. He is loving. I love him! I hope I have the same courage that he has when I grow up.
