Ty Pennington is my hero because he devotes all of his time to help others. Ty and his "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" crew help others by rebuilding their homes. Ty always make mistakes, but he always overcomes them. Ty is extremely hyper. He has this megaphone on the show and goes around screaming into the megaphone, telling everyone how much time there is left until the family comes home.

Independent is one of the words you could us to describe Ty Pennington. He is independent because on the show “Extreme Makeover Home Edition,” he picks one room in the house and makes it his secret room. The secret room is awarded to the most deserving family member. When Ty chooses the parents' master bedroom, he makes if relaxing and he calls it their “Master Suite”.

Ty is a great secret keeper. When he makes his “secret room,” he doesn’t tell anyone about it. Ty sometime awards the family with a brand new car or a paid-off mortgage. Once ABC paid for a seven-child family to all have college educations. There was an episode in Maine and the family was chosen to be on the show because the father was a lobsterman and he was hauling traps. His arm get caught is the hauler and threw him overboard. He had to do something, so he cut his own arm free from the rope. The father now has no arm and needs to support his family. When “The Extreme Makeover Home Edition” team came, they sent everyone away on vacation and started to rebuild the house. When the house was finished, Ty didn’t bring them to their house yet. He brought them to the seashore. There in the distance was a brand-new fishing boat. That was a great secret that Ty kept.

Ty Pennington and the “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” team are my heroes because they help deserving families in need. They make life-long dreams come true. They make people's lives easier and safer to live. They reward courage and bravery. They give back what the family has lost. Ty Pennington is my hero.
