My Hero: Virgil Abloh

Off-White’s creator, Louis Vuitton’s innovator, and the face of street wear goes by the name Virgil Abloh. Virgil Abloh is an large influence in the street wear industry.Virgil Abloh was born September 30, 1980 in Rockford Illinois. He then graduated Boylan Catholic High School in 1998. Then we moved on to college and attended University of Wisconsin-Madison, and graduated in 2002. Than Abloh attended his next school, Illinois Institute of Technology where his interest of fashion and street wear started. Abloh is a clothes designer, entrepreneur, and DJ. He works for Louis Vuitton and is the creator of Off-White.Virgil Abloh is a hero because of his confidence, determination, and passion which led him to become a important icon in street wear and the clothing industry.

He ends up creating his own label of clothes because of his strong passion.Virgil’s career started to kick off in 2010,“They were young, hungry and marketing-savvy, working behind the scenes -- for Kanye, for Nike -- and ricocheting around the periphery of fashion and music in the hazy days of the 2010s.” (Schneier, Matthew, "The rise of the three.")His passion for street wear lead him to work with icons such as nike and Kanye West. Being passionate from a young age was an  great trait and lead him to great places.Virgil’s passion lead him to great things and took him to great places. Virgil became an inspiration to everywhere in the fashion community.

Virgil has inspired many people who he felt inspired him including.“ Kim Kardashian West, Serena Williams, and Beyonce have worn Abloh's clothes.”( "Something New." ) Virgil’s passion lead him to inspire other people who he use to look up to, such as Beyonce and Serena Williams. Virgil’s passion lead him to not only be famous but inspire famous people.Virgil’s Off-White became a very popular label and huge hit,“His Off-White is now a sensation (the retailers salivate over it), enough that, last year, he was appointed men's artistic director of Louis Vuitton. Next came Mr. Williams, of Alyx, a hero to the hypebeasts who haunt forums and fashion resale sites.”(Schneier, Matthew. "The rise of the three.") Abloh’s brand Off-white is now a sensation throughout the country. His brand is a icon in the street wear industry. Without his determination he would not be where he is now. He always looked forward and never back, hoping to end up as someone that other people looked up too.

Abloh was fearless and wasn’t scared to put his designs on the market. His designs became a major hit on the market,“Off-White currently has 41 outlets worldwide and is indisputably one of the most fashionable fashion brands in all of fashion.”( "Louis Vuitton's Virgil Abloh on streetwear, art and how he's redefining menswear." ) Off-white is known as one of the most fashionable brands on the market. He isn’t scared to put his odd fashion taste on the market, but it ended up leading him to create one of the most trending brands on the market. Virgil designs became so apparent to the fashion market that he is Louis Vuitton’s head designer for their clothes is now Abloh, “The whole industry seems a bit buzzed right now, with designers as disparate as Mr. Abloh at Vuitton men's and Pierpaolo Piccioli at Valentino seeming to quote from the same cheat sheet during backstage interviews, spouting a gospel of an inclusivity that has been too long in coming.”(Trebay, Guy, "At Louis Vuitton, it's Jackson forever.")  When Abloh joined Louis Vuitton’s fashion team he put out designs and color combinations that no designer has ever done before. He tried hard to put out designs that represented him as a person. Abloh’s eagerness to create high fashion lead him to become an very successful person.

Virgil Abloh is a hero because of his confidence, determination, and passion which led him to become a important icon in street wear and the clothing industry. Virgil displayed 3 major traits throughout his career which lead him to become a inspiration. He has the traits of being passionate, determined, and fearless. These three traits lead him to become a success entrepreneur.
