Furlow Charter School's First Grade
Students are inspired by Mama Peace! Each stanza was written by a different class of Furlow's first grade scholars. As a peace certified school, these children understand Mattie's message of heartsongs and purpose. Because Mama Peace shared her son's message, it is now a significant part of Furlow's school culture. Scholars can articulate that "peace begins with me."
