Welles Crowther

My hero is Welles Crowther. My hero saved more than 10 people in the 9/11 attack on September 11. Welles lived in Nyack, New York. My hero lived until September 11, 2001. Welles is important to me because he saved many people's lives and made a difference in people's lives. That day on the 11th of September he could have lived, but he chose not to. He wanted to help save other people. He went back up to the 104th floor to save other people and made a difference in the world. He has made a difference in my life by doing so much. He helped because he was sacrificing his life for others to live and get to see their families. Welles did so much to help others. I am very inspired by Welles' actions. After I read the book The Red Bandana and read all of the facts about him helping others, it made me realize that helping others can make a difference in the world.
