A hero must be courageous and supportive so they know what to do and can relate or be there for other people in their lives

Will Smith is a hero because of his courage and selflessness which shows when he  donates to various charitable causes to help those who are less fortunate than him.

Will Smith has been courageous in his career and never gives up.

Will saw fame in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air but was courageous and took a chance on the big screen in the movie Six Degrees of Separation 1993.

The film is an adaptation of an award-winning play by John Guare, in which a gay, African American con artist passes himself off as actor Sidney Poitier's son (Will Smith).

During this time the Gay Rights movement was seeing a lot of kick back. People were being killed for being gay and the right of marriage was just being discussed in many states.

When Will Smith did this movie he knew that making it in this time would very risky but still took on the role to make the movie what made him famous and was very courageous.

Will was willing to take jobs with the hope of making a statement and stretch his acting career  without the worry of how much money he will make or the phrase he will receive.

While Seven Pounds, released at Christmas 2008, was not as big a hit as his previous efforts with only $16 million in ticket sales over the first weekend and many poor reviews. As an actor, Smith wanted to take chances, no matter what the outcome. As he told Robert Koehler of Variety, "[M]y strategy from the start was that I would lay down markers, so that I would never be in a situation in which someone considering me for a role would say, 'He can't do that'"(Will Smith. Notable Black M).

In the movie Seven Pounds Will Smith takes his character from a self serving person to one of serving others. It is important to remind people that it is better to give than receive.

The movie was not a blockbuster buster but Will was able to remind people to think of others.  It is courageous to take parts that make a statement, than parts that make you rich.

Will Smith's has done many movies but theses two have stuck out a lot showing risk by going against the public norm but built his career that is very courageous.

Will smith has done a ton of charity work with his family along with others even making a Foundation to help  underprivileged children is very supportive which fits the quality of a hero.

By sharing his wealth, time and fame with others Will Smith has been able to help so many people.

¨With his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, founded the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation to benefit inner-city community development, youth educational projects and under-privileged children and their families´´ (Will Smith, UXL Biographies).

Will Smith could sit back in his mansion and enjoy his life, but he cares too much about others and the world his children will grow up in, so he works for the greater good of children that are not privileged.

He helps children in hospitals bringing them hope and joy, he provides supplies to schools so that children can have relevant skills in the workforce and he works to help children in Africa.

His being supportive of others allows them to be the best they can be. Throughout his career he has always pushed the norms of society to include all people.

“I’m at a point in my life where I want all of the work that I do to mean something,” said Smith, “I want there to be ideas and concepts and lessons about things that I believe in.”

Will Smith has come to point in his life where he just wants to help more.

Will also has made many movies about this so i think maybe he wants to do it.

Will Smith has made so much money and gives it out for others in seconds and cares about everyone he talks too and does good for no reason.

Will Smith is a hero because of his courage and selflessness which shows when he donates to various charitable causes to help those who are less fortunate than him

It is through his courageous and supportive actions that he was able to set and achieve both his career and humanitarian goals.

Will Smith inspires me because he has been low and high in life, losing everything, and came back to the top and now is giving to people in need and support. Truly shows humility and courage in his words and hope he has in the people he loves because he never gives up and always moves forward with the same thought in mine how can i changed the world today and make it better.“I’m at a point in my life where I want all of the work that I do to mean something,” said Smith, “I want there to be ideas and concepts and lessons about things that I believe in.

After Will Smith's hardships in his life he learned a lot and been high and low many times but overcame it and made his success and gives back whenever he can out the kindness in his heart. He listens to everyone and understands it. After all he shows great resolve and doesn't give up - never.
