Win Against Destruction
Disasters desire to devour hearts
toward hatred. I choose to
rise above all wreckage, recover the
weary, carry the weight of the wounded.
Connection is a continual contact.
Swim on compassionate clouds.
Float with freedom for the world
to be inspired. I know what it means
to feel ostracized. I thought I was
drowning from bullying, having to
block out my boarders by those who tried
to pull my ship in a Bermuda Triangle.
I found strength in poetry, my sail.
It became a powerful protection,
an avenue for my amazement.
The community declares turmoil,
drainage sent through the flooded
mouths of destruction. The hurting,
they hope to see a recovery. Unravel
what is common between beings.
Change comes with progression,
so I will share my story. Watering
words drape what is dry.
Obstacles can turn into typhoons,
whirlwinds wanting to take
over our bodies. I live to be
the bridge that helps level lives,
light up a path for all dreary days.
What I soak in is my benefit,
not a burden.
When we fight together,
we win.
Defend. Disrupt. Resist.
