The MY HERO Project hosted Part One of Two of its 21st Annual International Film Festival Awards Ceremony on December 13, 2025. Hosted during activist and longtime friend of MY HERO Eva Haller’s renowned weekly salon series, the event celebrates filmmakers highlighting individuals and organizations working to better our world.
Each year, MY HERO partners with Sing for Hope to present the Sing for Hope Music Video Award, recognizing songwriters, singers, musicians, producers, and filmmakers that have utilized their creative power to highlight heroes from across the globe.
This year, Sing for Hope co-founder and co-executive director Camille Zamora presented the Sing for Hope Music Video Award to director of Como el Caracol ‘Like the Snail,’ Kati Egely. On selecting the winner, Zamora shared
Our team had a tough time with this decision making because every one of these incredible music videos moved us deeply. In the end, the vote went to Como el Caracol ‘Like the Snail,’ a watercolor animated music video about the importance of knowing when to slow down like a snail and when to speed up like an ostrich, respecting our own timings.

Director Kati Egely, whom—like Eva Haller—was born in Hungary, explained that whilst the short may have been created with children in mind, its message rings true to children and adults alike. “Even if it's made for kids,” Egely explained, “I think the lyrics is something that the adults also really should consider.” She went on to add
These lyrics also could fit really well to the process of the animation because everything is handmade, and I work alone so there is no team. And it takes lots of time.

Zamora shared her favorite lyrics with attendees, an important reminder to take things at their own pace.
When I want something to turn out well for me, I know that I have to not get distracted. I have to concentrate like the snail. With patience, everything turns out better.
