I think that Emil Racovita is a hero because: he was a great scientist and travelled to the South Pole in the 1900s. He took part in an expedition to the Antarctic, on the ship "Belgica". He also studied caves and there is a special museum about this in Cluj. He was helped in his career by the great Romanian writer Ion Creanga.
I also want to be a scientist like Racovita was and to explore new places.
