Ken Nedimyer

 My hero is a man who has done good for most of his life... He has created a home to grow coral and work on restoring the coral reefs. His name is Ken Nedimyer,  He is a marine biologist. He is the president of his own nursery; the largest of coral are grown there. His life has been devoted to the coral after his first dive.

  Some important moments of his life was in 1970-"Began scuba diving" and earlier than that was in 1969- "Began collecting specimens."  Some other more up to date times are in 2007- "Coral restoration foundation formed." Around 2009- "grown over 4,000 corals." This tell me he has devoted a lot of time to the corals, plus in 2010- "7,000 corals grown" one year passed and he's grown 3,000 in between 2009/2010.

  The greatest struggle is he's trying to restore the coral reefs before they disappear. Also he's created the biggest off shore coral nursery in Florida. Ken has demonstrated heroism when he planted back 200 corals back into a reef, started the Coral Restoration Foundation in Mar/1/2012. He started two off shore elkhorn nurseries, first of their kind. Lastly over 7,000 corals in spring of 2010 .

He did show some heroic characteristics like, "Courage, Determination, and Selflessness." When/how he demonstrated each by, his fighting to save the coral reefs (courage)/ through 1984-1012 he has worked and has created the largest coral nursery in Florida (determination)/ he has started the nursery for everyone in the world (selflessness). Ken Nedimyer he has not died, but his up to date status is. He has inspired neighboring countries to evaluate their own marine and coastal conservation.

And with selflessness/ determination/ courage/ and getting everyone to help his cause. To protect our world's coral reefs, that's why he's my hero
