She did a multiple of different types of charity work, and helped with a several causes. Lady Diana Spencer was a young school teacher who married the heir to the British throne, Prince Charles. She had two sons, William and Henry. Princess Diana supported people who are suffering from homelessness, and people with AIDS. With her respect for others and her selflessness she helped with multiple different causes and charities. The support she gave to thousands of people allowed her legacy to continue to this day. While some people think Princess Diana Spencer was a cruel person by ending the marriage of her and Prince Charles, she is a hero because of her respect to many people and her selflessness and devotion to the charities that she supported. These characteristics were exemplified when she completed all of her charity work and raised two fantastic sons.

Princess Diana shows respect to others by connecting with her own personal struggles with bulimia and suicide, giving individuals struggling with these issues a role model of respect and honesty. Princess Diana once said, “I don't go by the rule book... I lead from the heart, not the head”. Princess Diana came into the royal family with an open mind and an open heart. She brought upon her aristocratic beauty and spunky approach to her role as the future queen of England and brought new life to the Monarchy. With her aristocratic beauty, her determined personality, her caring nature, and her cheerful outlook helped her stress of becoming the Princess of Wales. Before she became a princess, she worked with young children. Princess Diana had respect for herself and for her community. Besides working with young children she also, had an outstanding community spirit. Princess Diana was recognized with an award from West Heath, in 1977. With all of her help in her community, she had respect for herself. With her determined attitude she became the first educated at Silfield School in her family. With all of her extraordinary accomplishment and her outstanding community work, only some of them stand out. Princess Diana worked with an organization that works with the homeless, youth, drug addicts and the elderly. While during her princess years she felt it was her job to campaign to ban landmines. This campaign went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997. During this time she got a divorce from the Prince of Wales. Princess Diana shows respect after her divorce when she maintained a high level of popularity. This could lead into something bad or something good. "She devoted herself to her two sons and to her wonderful efforts as the battle against the use of land minds. Diana used her international celebrity to help raise awareness about this issue. With all of her achievements in her charitable causes, she was known as the 'People's Princess'. With her determination to stand up for her land mines protection, she also brought attention to another worthy cause such as the elimination of AIDS." (http://www.femmetalks.com/featured/15-most-influential-women-of-all-time_1141.html) Diana shows respect to others because she became a role model for people who are faced with depression. As, the "People's princess", Princess Diana showed the world she was committed to all of her different types of personality and her wonderful attitude. We all know that if she was still alive most of the world will still respect her with all of their hearts and minds.

Princess Diana was not selfish but she was selfless. She gave her heart and soul to everything she did. She was a devoted mother of her two sons and she became increasingly associated with numerous charities. We all know Princess Diana as the "people's princess", and well she plays the part. With all of her personal struggles and her divorce, she put a smile on her face to show the world that she is all right. Princess Diana showed that she is selfless by using her media popularity to bring attention to the needs of the forgotten and needy of the world. She championed a number of charitable causes, including AIDS and homelessness. She focused her attention on the worldwide menace of land mines. (MY HERO story by Jeff Trussell) She showed us that she is selfless. Princess Diana devoted her time to her many charities and causes. From the mid-1980s, the Princess of Wales became involved with many charities. She was expected to visit hospitals, schools, and many more. "Diana developed an intense interest in serious illnesses and health-related matters outside the purview of traditional royal involvement, including AIDS and leprosy” (Rosenberg, Jennifer). When she was dealing with all of her charities and causes she still had time to be a supportive mother to her two sons. She thought of the friends, family, and her world before she thought of herself. Princess Diana once said, “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you”. With all of her charities and causes after the divorce, she still had her two sons, William and Harry. She was still devoting all of her time in her charities and her two sons before herself. Princess Diana had many new different types of stress to deal with, especially with the press. These pressures plus the extreme media coverage and post-natal depression, left Diana lonely and depressed. But, through all of that she, still was selfless. She worked with people who needed her help the most. With her new stresses in life she found herself with a new love. But, to only to end up dead with him. The paparazzi were to find every possible shot of Diana. When this got too crazy, it ended with a car crash that included Diana, her new lover, and a guy who was on the motorcycle for the paparazzi. When Princess Diana died her two wonderful sons did an extraordinary honor for her. In 2007, during her tenth anniversary of her death, her two wonderful sons did an extraordinary honor for their mother by throwing a special concert to be held what would have been her 46th birthday. The money of the event went to all of the charities supported by Diana and her sons. When we think of Diana we think of all of the kind and generous thing that she did for a lot of people. She thought of the world and her sons before she thought of herself. Princess Diana will always be remembered for her loving grace and her sparkling attitude. Princess Diana is my hero because she used her fame to help others with their own personal problems. She cared for everyone and everybody.

Princess Diana Spencer was such a wonderful, respectful person who put everyone first before herself. Diana wasn’t ordinary but, she was extraordinary as a person and as a princess. The main thing that Diana did as a princess was all of her charities and causes that she supported. Princess Diana inspires me and many other people around the world because, after going through a tough divorce she still helped others. She was committed to everything that was put on the table and she stayed with it until she can do it to her absolute ability or until the plate was finish. As a princess it's your duty to help others. Princess Diana Spencer said, "Anywhere I see suffering that is where I want to be, doing what I can." Diana lived up to those expectations and she conquered every last one before she died. She lived her life to the fullest and she inspired many people to do the same.
