Through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, "They gave $100 million to a health organization that would vaccinate children in poor countries. They contributed $200 million to the Gates Library Foundation, organized in 1995 to help libraries in the United States and Canada take advantage of computer technology" (Lesinski 80). Gates continued support to the effort to help vaccinate people in poor countries, to better improve their resistance to disease. Furthermore, he also contributes to making technology more available in the US and Canada, so people have access to the internet to research subjects and teach themselves. Along with the donations he has made from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, “He’s focused on what he calls catalytic philanthropy: investments in innovations that will improve life for the poorest. They're solutions to problems where markets and governments underinvest” (Gates). Gates supports and focuses on subjects that markets and governments fail to invest their money and resources into. This further proves Gates is a caring individual by looking to help those others refuse to. Gates is caring because he supports people with technological needs, and he supports people with health and living issues in poorer countries.

Gates has done several things in his life, like co-founding Microsoft and the Bill & Melinda Foundation, and through both mediums, he has been an inspiration to many by showing his caring nature, and the passion he puts into his work. With the amount of care toward people's well-being and passion for helping people, Gates has inspired others to do good in the world. He has done this through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, by focusing on improving healthcare and education for children around the world “Bill Gates”). Being someone who helps people, Bill Gates inspired me to try to help others in any way I can. From a college dropout to one of the most caring and passionate people of the last few generations, Gates has been a hero to me and many others.
