MY HERO’s 2025 International Film Festival – The Eva Haller Women Transforming Media (WTM) Award

This prestigious award is given by global activist and philanthropist Eva Haller to filmmakers whose short films celebrate women creating positive change in the world.

This award was established by Eva Haller — an activist, philanthropist, and Holocaust survivor who has served as a mentor to generations of women change-makers. Haller was born in Budapest, Hungary, before the Second World War. When Nazis invaded her city, Haller escaped the concentration camp by convincing a young Nazi soldier that she was much too young and beautiful to die. However, her beloved older brother was not as fortunate. After his death, Haller vowed to honor him by living her life with a sense of purpose.

Call for Entries 2025
Short films, ten minutes and under must be submitted online to The MY HERO International Film Festival by 1^st October 2025 to be eligible for this special award.

The Award comes with cash prizes up to $2,500. The winner will be selected by Eva and announced as part of the 21st MY HERO International Film Festival in 2025.
