MARCH 25, 2026 — LAGUNA BEACH, CA

Dr. Lynn Davidson is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician and nationally respected expert in autism and developmental disabilities at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. On February 28, 2026, Dr. Davidson joined the Eva Haller Salon Series to deliver an informative talk on autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Drawing on her vast experience, both clinical and academic, Dr. Davidson led with compassion and shared how autism is identified, how it presents across the lifespan, and why clarity in diagnosis is essential for meaningful support. 

“Autism spectrum disorder,” explained Dr. Davidson, “is a category of neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by social and communication impairment and restricted or repetitive behaviors.” The disorder can only be diagnosed through clinical description, as there is no physical test that can determine whether a person has it.

An important thing to note, as Dr. Davidson reminded us throughout the salon, is that “If you have met one person with autism, you have met one person with autism.” No two people with autism are the same.
