Description
Ten year old Hans Roenau, and his family. had to flee Vienna, Austria in 1938 when the Nazis invaded. They sought refuge in Shanghai, China only to face that country's occupatoion by the Japanese.
Despite the disruption of his childhood Hans grew up with a sunny disposition and an easy charm.
Moving to Northern California as an adult, his avocation was long distance running. When, due to age and ill health, he was no long able to run he turned his talents to photography. Filmed at 82 Hans is having had a full and rewarding life as a photographer and philosopher.
