MY HERO Project seeks unique works of art by professional and student artists that celebrate the lives and courageous acts of heroes who work to promote change by positively affecting others and their communities. Completed artwork should reflect thoughtful ideas to show how the selected hero demonstrates heroic action and creates positive social change.

Cheikh Seck interviewed Ruty at the iEARN Conference in Morocco during the summer of 2009. Ruty has been coordinating iEARN activities for Israel and is featured as a hero on the MY HERO web site for her work with project based learning with an emphasis on PEACE. She is the leader of a project that uses Kites to bring children around the world together with messages of hope.
