Moroccan oral Storytelling traces itself back over a thousand years, carrying the history and stories of generations of lessons passed down from family to family. Now, the traditional art faces a challenge in the form of a ever globalizing world that draws attention away from oral storytelling. Mehdi El Gahly and Jawad Elbeid are the founders of Hikayat Morocco, a nonprofit working to preserve the art by passing down the art of oral storytelling to the next generation of storytellers - our youth.
