My hero is “Greta Thunberg”, she is a climate activist, and has been standing up for Global warming since she was a young kid, and in 2017 she started posting on social media about the crisis, she didn’t stop there. She did protest and strikes, she is a very well known person not just for climate change, but for being a very anti-war person, she is a vegan who never flies planes cause she knows. They pollute the environment, she travels the world on an electric boat, meeting many people, and when she was only a kid, she got her Climate article published in a magazine. She is Swedish, she’s Greta Thunberg, who stands up for the environment and for peace.
Growing up, she had a hard time with her social life, she had autism, when she first was diagnosed she thought it was bad but now she quoted, “Proud to be on the spectrum! And no, autism... is not a 'gift'...For most it is an endless fight against schools, workplaces and bullies.
But under the right circumstances, given the right adjustments it CAN be a superpower."
She grew up in Sweden, and when she was a kid, she she was scared to speak up, scared that people would bully her, but when she realized that the Climate was at crisis, she started speaking up, she won first place in a Climate magazine when she was a teen, her article got starred, she would post on social media and even formed a strike from school in high school, 20,000 people joined after a few days up to weeks, this specific strike was called "Fridays for future”, as it took place on Fridays, she chose to inspire people to stand up for what is right.
She was not just standing through what she was right, but she was saving lives for the future, even if people could not understand that she knew that was right.
When she was 11 she fell into a deep depression and selective mutism along with OCD, at school she watched videos about The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, as it broke her heart the the earth was polluting.
When she was 10 she became vegan and cut out all animal products knowing that there was a way to help the earth somewhat, she worked hard.
She stood for climate rights and didn't give up because she knew if she did she would not help it, she knew about from a very young age at 8 years old, she stood up for herself and the animals and humans of the future.
'I want you to panic. I want you to feel the pain I feel every day. And then I want you to act". Quote Greta Thunberg
