Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may he rest in peace) is my hero because of his visionary campaign to plant millions of trees in the harsh desert environment of the UAE. The forests, parks, and agricultural areas he established such as those on the island of Sir Bani Yas and across Al Ain continue to provide biodiversity and serve as educational spaces for students like me.
