Description

As a gay rights pioneer, Harvey Milk made history being the first openly gay elected official in California and one of the first in the country. His dream for hope and equality applied not only to those in the gay community but to all races and minorities. Though his life was cut short, the triumphs that he accomplished in office brought forth change for decades to come.
