Description
As mass tourism’s footprint on climate change draws increased scrutiny, its impact on local economies can be even more destructive to cultural and social fabrics. Together with the Thimphu-based art collective, VAST Bhutan, the META Foundation ideated and experimented with producing virtual artifacts which could connect visitors to real communities to support and fuel local economies, while fulfilling and inspiring travel dreams from afar.
