When Ashlee saw a photo of the Alps’ magical ice caves melting, its beauty reminded her of a gigantic aquamarine jellyfish. She couldn’t believe the writer had savored this fairyland as her backyard, and that soon, because of our poor choices, it would melt into sludge. Another inspiration is Robert Ballard, who taught her humans tend to treat what we can’t see as worthless when in truth, the ocean is a treasure trove of answers to how we can solve the problems we’ve created. As you listen to Ashlee's poem, open a window of hope in your mind, for the ocean is an accessible place to find answers. We don’t have to fly to Mars for answers. They’re right here
