Description
The film explains how destructive fishing like bottom trawling and dredging take place inshore in the UK in areas of rich biodiversity and in marine protected areas designated to protect vulnerable habitats and species. It shows the benefits of a ban on this destructive fishing along the UK's Sussex coast in terms of both recovering marine biodiversity and fish stocks in the area and so improving local fishers' livelihoods. Through this film, Oceana calls on the UK government to introduce such a ban on bottom trawling along the whole UK coast and in all marine protected areas
