Winona LaDuke is a Native American Harvard graduate economist, environmentalist, activist, author and executive director of Honor The Earth. She is pictured here as a youth in the 1970's around the time that she began her activism. Winona LaDuke is known as a hero for helping First Nation tribes regarding land recovery, conservation and human rights. She promotes alternative energy solutions such as solar and wind and was on the Green Party ticket as vice president with Ralph Nader in 1996 and 2000. She currently is involved with environmental issues that endanger not only native tribal land, but the planet. She is a key speaker to the public in regards to fossil fuel pipelines such as the Keystone and DAPL. Her life long heroism is vital for the preservation of a truthful history and a future that is healthy and humane.
