MY HERO Project seeks unique works of art by professional and student artists that celebrate the lives and courageous acts of heroes who work to promote change by positively affecting others and their communities. Completed artwork should reflect thoughtful ideas to show how the selected hero demonstrates heroic action and creates positive social change.

"We received this award early in our film’s journey and it was a real affirmation. We weren’t yet sure how the film would be received so we were delighted! The financial aspect of the award enabled us to get the film out into a film festival run. We have screened the film in over 40 film festivals internationally including Slamdance and HotDocs and have won some more awards such as Best Documentary at the Ann Arbor Film Festival and Audience Award at Nevada City Film Festival.
