Chris McConnachie and his wife, Jenny McConnachie, decided they wanted to help improve the medical services and support in the Itipini slum of South Africa as this area has struggled with HIV problems. Itipini was given family planning services, a health clinic, and many educational services for children. Professional medical volunteers have given back to this community as locals have now begun to run the health services and schools.
