Description
Ko (Agua) by Daniela Millaleo and Lila Downs
I planted a flower in a field in my homeland
The flower, bathed by the stream, grew red under the sun
Golden water of my land adorns the small birds,
as they sing on my strings, inviting me to dance along with them
Chorus
Water flows from the stream that bathes my dreams
Dreams that run like the river, like the earth, alive
As I row happily along the river
and I see the rain falling from the sky
I drink the healing tea from the boldo tree
From the creek to the river, then to the sea,
the water gives me life, gives life to my song.
