Every day, Murid goes to the sea to nurture the reef that he is restoring. Sometimes, his daughter Kyra goes with him. This short film follows Kyra and Murid's relationship, and Murid’s work in Raja Ampat, Indonesia, to plant new coral reefs and support the future of coastal communities for every generation. Kyra and the Coral is a story about learning through experience, and about what it means to protect a place you call home. Filmed and edited in Misool, Raja Ampat by Putro Pambajeng—this film explores family, legacy, and everyday acts of stewardship. Kyra and Murid story reminds us that conservation isn’t only about protecting ecosystems — it’s about passing knowledge, responsibility, and hope from one generation to the next.
