Description
This week, we welcome Lisa Stratton, Director of Ecosystem Management at UCSB’s Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, to share the inspiring story behind the North Campus Open Space restoration project. Since breaking ground in 2017, this ambitious effort has transformed degraded land into a thriving habitat—supporting rare species of plants, birds, and fish, reducing flood risks, and offering hands-on learning opportunities for students.
