Malala Yousafzai

by Kaitlyn from United States

Fought for peace,

Justice and truth,

Wanted to do more,

To educate youth.

Her battles were many,

Her wins were few,

But even then,

Her passion grew.

Through all the tough,

Thick and thin,

She stood proud,

kept her grin.

Started small,

Soon grew and grew,

But there were things,

She never knew.

Soon, they thought,

The end is near.

Let go of all,

That you hold dear.

They removed the bullet,

They dried her tears.

She tried to soar,

But faced new fears.

The fight was done,

The tensions were high.

But still no wings,

Unable to fly.

She wanted to do,

Even more,

But how can you fight,

When there’s no war?

Soon enough,

She set about.

She wouldn’t stop now,

Without a doubt.

Fights for peace,

Justice and truth,

Does the most of all,

To educate youth.
