This cine-poem, inspired by “Mom” by Refaat Alareer, explores the quiet weight of motherhood. its love, absence, and memory. Through a voiceover of the poem and restrained visuals—empty spaces, close-ups, and muted tones, I aimed to create an intimate, reflective mood that mirrors the poem’s rhythm.Lighting, color, and pacing work together to evoke loss and tenderness, allowing the audience not just to understand, but to feel. Rooted in personal connection, the piece uses simplicity to draw out emotional depth.As an artist, I strive to create work that resonates. This project strengthened my ability to align image, sound, and timing to express meaning with precision. It reflects my intent clearly: to translate poetry into a sensory experience that lingers.
