My poem is about injustice and the consequences of turning the blind eye to it. Believing violence and despair is below you makes you more susceptible to be affected by it. My cinepoem has many eerie/suspenseful elements that are meant to engage the viewer. The main idea of my poem is inequity in our society, and what happens when there is no sentiment of community, especially in dire times. My artwork has many inspirations from the present day. I felt as if this poem would be more effective, considering the political and societal climate of our world as a whole. I have many hopes for this poem to become widespread, but not solely for fungible purposes. I would like it to be widespread so it could make a change. More than ever, it is imperative that we are connected as a society and take a stand against bigotry. When there is not a society that is built upon equality, it causes resentment, and despair. We must stand together to fight injustice for good.
